Hi there! My name is Kenard Lawson. I have been involved in the computer industry since 2001 and started off with a windows 98 box playing games. As time passed, my experience and knowledge grew. I later dived into the world of certifications, with the Microsoft Office Specialist certifications. On the day I completed my final Microsoft Office Specialist examination; while leaving the testing center, a guy asked the question, "When are you going take some real certifications?" I was confused by such a question. Today, I have acquired various industry standard credentials from vendors such as, Microsoft, Cisco Systems and Citrix Systems.
I've been involved in training since 2004, when I began teaching Microsoft Office applications at a local community center. Currently, employed as a Technical trainer and Systems administrator, I provide training for individuals who are trying to complete a certification or to gain the knowledge and skills needed for career advancement. It is a very rewarding experience to assist others in learning how to use and be productive with computers. Seriously, to see students’ complete tasks that they have been at for quite some time, is very satisfying.
